Upcoming Disney releases: the return of "Avatar" and "Zootopia 2"
Disney presented to the press in New York on Tuesday the main productions expected for the fall, among which stand out the next installment of the ' Avatar ' saga, the sequel to ' Zootopia ' and the biopic about Bruce Springsteen , played by Jeremy Allen White .
The presentation of ' Ella McCay ', which will premiere on December 12, featured Jamie Lee Curtis , playing the role of the protagonist's mother in this comedy in which the young woman's professional life will clash with her family life.
Curtis expressed his enthusiasm for working with the film's director , James L. Brooks , known for the film ' As Good as It Gets ' (1997).
In addition, the film features a cast made up of stars such as Woody Harrelson and other younger celebrities who are making a name for themselves in the industry, such as Emma Mackey and Ayo Edebiri .
At the screening, Curtis and Brooks joked about the film's funny moments and how the director "ruined takes" with his laughter , and discussed the friendship they formed over it, despite Curtis's assurances that he "didn't like being directed."
On the other hand, Jeremy Allen White plays the boss (or 'The Boss'), as Bruce Springsteen 's fans often refer to him, in the film ' Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere ', which will be released on October 24 of this year.
White used his own voice, the presentation insisted, in this film that focuses on a key stage in the singer's life when he was composing his album ' Nebraska ' in 1982 , "a raw and evocative acoustic record , populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe," according to a statement from 20th Century Fox.
For a younger audience, ' Zootopia 2' will reunite the characters from the first installment in a new adventure , where they will meet other new animals such as a mysterious viper , voiced by Ke Huy Quan ('Everything Everywhere All at Once').
The film, whose trailer will be released this Wednesday, will be released in theaters in the US on November 26 , coinciding with the fall break and Thanksgiving holidays.
Blockbusters were not lacking in the programming for this fall and ' Tron ' returns to the big screen once again with ' Tron : Ares', available on October 10, as a sensory experience with Jared Leto at the helm of the plot, as an envoy from the digital world to the real world on a dangerous mission.
It is a sequel to the 1982 film ' Tron ' and its 2010 sequel, ' Tron : Legacy', in a story based on the legacy of cutting-edge design, technology and storytelling.
Meanwhile, ' Predator Badlands ,' in theaters on November 7, will closely follow Predator as the protagonist of this story, in which the narrative is reversed and he becomes the prey.
